STATE PLAN

A.     POST MATRIC SCHOLARSHIP
Post Matric Scholarship is being provided to the Scheduled caste students whose income upto Rs. 2.00 lacs annually and to the Scheduled Tribe, OBC and PHC students whose income is Rs. 1.00 lac annually who are continue their study from 11th onwards to any professional courses.

 
NATIONAL MINORITY PREMATRIC SCHOLARSHIP

Prime Ministerís New 15 point Programme for the welfare of Minority was announced in June 2006. It provides that a Post-Matric & Prematric scholarship scheme for the meritorious students from Minority communities would be implemented. In Jammu and Kashmir Muslim, Christians, Sikhs and Buddhist are declared as Minority Community and their students reading in different classes as per the criteria i.e. their income does not exceed Rs. 1.00 annually and that to on the self attested affidavit submitted by the parents.

 1.           INTEGRATED SOCIAL SECURITY SCHEME/94.
    Financial Assistance to following categories of persons is being provided by the Department.

a.     Destitute Old men 60 years and above Old Women 55 years & above @ Rs. 200/- pm.

b.     Widow & divorce ladies in any age category @ Rs. 200/- pm.

c.     Handicapped persons of all age group having deformity of above 40% @ Rs. 400/- pm.

     CSSS: - (CONTRIBUTORY SOCIAL SECURITY SCHEME): - Financial Assistance is provided to marginal laborers with the contributory amount of Rs. 100/- per month.

2.           NATIONAL SOCIAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAMME
The Department is implementing a National Social Assistance Programme Centrally sponsored Schemes for poor people falling below the Poverty Line.

a.     IGNOAPS: - (INDIRA GHANDI NATIONAL OLD AGE PENSION SCHEME) Destitute Old persons above 65 years of age having BPL category certificate are provided Rs. 400/- pm. Government has revised age norms i.e. 59 and above and 80 and above who are to be provided Rs. 500/- pm during current year but funds has not been released as yet demand has been projected to implement the revise norms.

b.     IGNWPS: (INDIRA GHANDI NATIONAL WIDOW PENSION SCHEME) Destitute Widow/divorce ladies 40 years  and above having BPL Category certificate are provided Rs. 400/- pm.

c.     IGNDPS: - (INDIRA GHANDI NATIONAL DISABILITY PENSION SCHEME) Handicapped of above 40 years age with more than 40% disability are provided financial assistance @ Rs. 400/- pm.

d.    NFBS (NATIONAL FAMILY BENEFIT SCHEME): In case of the death of the primary bread winner of family the department has a provision to provide an amount of Rs 10,000/- within the age group of 21 to 64 years (Deceased) in any case either in accidental or natural. The income of the family does not exceed the limit of BPL which is duly verified by the concerned Tehsildar in case of Urban and by The Concerned Block Development Officer in case of rural beneficiaries.
