UDHAMPUR, JANUARY 19: The 3-Day virtual Lecture series on Career Opportunities for Graduates in Humanities concluded today here at Government Degree College for Women, Udhampur.

The Lecture Series was organised by the Career Counselling Cell of the College under the supervision of Convenor, Prof. Jugal Kishore.

Principal of the College Prof. Minu Mahajan was the Chief Guest at the valedictory function of the series which was inaugurated by him on Jan 17, 2022.

The Principal of the College congratulated the Career Counselling Cell of the college for organising the event and encouraged them to organise more such events in future also. He advised the students to reap the benefits of such Career oriented Lectures and keep themselves abreast with the ever-changing job market scenario available to the graduates in Humanities.

The series witnessed 10 lectures delivered by 10 different resource persons covering ten subjects viz. Education, History, Computer Applications, Urdu, English, Hindi, Geography, Music, Dogri, Mathematics spanning over five sessions with two sessions per day each comprising of 2 lectures.

A.K. Raina, Associate Professor in Hindi, Dr. Mool Raj, Assistant Professor in Urdu, Dr. Mohan Galgotra, Assistant Professor in Education, Yash Paul, Assistant Professor in History, Prof. Paramjit Singh, Assistant Professor in Computer Applications, Dr. Sumit Sharma, Assistant Professor in English, Pooja Bharti, Assistant Professor in Geography, Yash Kumar Assistant Professor in Music, Neeru Anand, Assistant Professor in Dogri, and Jugal Kishore, Assistant Professor in Mathematics were the 10 resource persons and the sessions were chaired by Arun Gupta, Librarian, Dr. Amit Kumar Sharma, Assistant Professor in Physics, Bini Kumar, Assistant Professor in Commerce, Jugal Kishore Assistant Professor in Mathematics in turns.

All resource Persons through their interactive lectures exposed the students to the various Career opportunities available to the students after graduation in their respective subjects.

Over 550 students participated in the different lectures in different subjects held in three-day lecture series clearing their doubts through live interaction with the speakers thereby making the counselling endeavour an intended success.
