GCW Udhampur hosts Kabaddi match on Women’s Day

UDHAMPUR, MARCH 08: On the eve of International Women’s Day, Department of Sports, Government College for women Udhampur today organized a Kabaddi match between First semester and combined teams of 3rd & 5th semester here on the college sports ground. The event was held under the guidance of the College Principal Prof. Meenu Mahajan.

In a tough contested match held under the leadership of Captain Sanjeevni Sharma and an exemplary display of the performance by Shikha, Anju, Neha and Babli, the first semester beat the combined team of 3rd & 5th semester by 61-38. The Match was officiated by Dr Dinesh Kumar physical Director of the college.

Among others, Dr Anil Kumar Raina HOD Department of Hindi, Dr Ashok HOD Department of Mathematics, Sanjay Sharma HOD Department of Philosophy, Mushtaq Ahmed Assistant Professor Hindi and Jaswant Singh lecturer Geography. MD Yonous assisted in the successful conduct of the match.
