DC reviews progress on restoration works at Ramnagar
UDHAMPUR, JANUARY 10: In order to review the progress on restoration works in various sectors of the district Udhampur, Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur, Indu kanwal Chib today conducted an extensive tour of tehsil Ramnagar and inspected the restoration works there.
Earlier, the DC chaired a meeting of District/sectoral officers of key line departments at Tehsil Head quarter Ramnagar where she reviewed the progress of restoration works of PDD, PHE, Health, PWD, FCS & CA and other concerned.
Necessary directions were issued to concerned departments to ensure early restoration of road connectivity, stock of ration in vulnerable areas, restoration of healthcare services, drinking water and electricity supply in respective areas. She directed all the concerned officers to monitor the situation and ensure all essential services are available in all areas especially in rural areas.
The DC also interacted with BDCs, DDCs and PRIs and listened to their issues and problems and ensure that their genuine issues will be redress with utmost priority. BDCs, DDCs and PRIs of the area showed their overall satisfaction regarding the persistence effort of the DC to reach out to the people of the far flung areas at their doorstep, so that their basic demands be redressed & full filled at its earliest.
Executive Engineer PDD was directed to provide uninterrupted power supply in the area besides Executive Engineer PWD (R&B) was asked to ensure the maintenance of the left out roads clearance. She exhorted upon the concerned executing agencies to complete all the ongoing works at an earliest and also stressed for providing immediate essential services to the people of the area.
AD FCS & CA was asked to ensure proper ration supply and remain in touch with the PRIs as well as general public, pay regular visits and organize camps in all the remote and far-flung areas.
