DDC Chairman, DC Udhampur listen to people’s issues at Ramnagar
UDHAMPUR, DECEMBER 22: District Development Council Chairperson, Udhampur Lal Chand and Deputy Commissioner, Indu Kanwal Chib today listened to public issues during the weekly Block Diwas programme held at Block Development Office Ramnagar.
BDC Chairman, Des Raj; DDC Councillor, Jattu Ram; DDC Councillor, Mool Raj; President MC, Ramnagar Ashri Devi; SDM, Gopal Singh and other District and Sectoral officers besides general public participated in the public outreach programme.
BDCs, DDCs, Sarpanches, Panches and the general public of the adjoining Panchayats projected several demands and problems being faced by them. They demanded construction of Playfield at Kaghote Panchayat, Up-gradation of High School Kaghote to Higher Secondary level, construction of health centre building at Kaghote and Sunetar, augmentation of drinking water supply, meeting shortage of staff in Educational and Health institutions, Provision of fencing in Raja Ram Singh Stadium, Construction of foot bridge over Sagar and Hansa nallahs, Provision of bus service from Ramnagar to Upper Katwalat, Shifting of high tension wires from Nk Rajeshwar Singh Higher Secondary School Dehari etc.
After listening to their demands and issues, the DC redressed many grievances on the spot by passing directions to the concerned officers.
The DC assured the public that all their genuine issues would be addressed in a time bound manner. She directed the officers to work in coordination so that equitable development of all Panchayats is ensured .
The concerned officers were directed to resolve the genuine demands of the public on priority and submit the detailed report of pending issues so that the same could be projected to higher authorities for consideration. The DC asked the officers to note down all the demands and redress the same on priority basis. The DC said that the main objective of conducting Block Diwas is to resolve day to day public issues and ensure the implementation of centrally sponsored schemes on the ground.
