District Admin Udhampur organises eco-tourism run at Kud

UDHAMPUR, MARCH 28: To generate awareness among the youth and general public regarding benefits of eco-tourism, District Administration Udhampur, in collaboration with Mission Youth, organized a five kilometer long eco-tourism run from Tamator Morh to Kud, here this morning.

Additional Deputy Commissioner, Mohammad Syed Khan was the chief guest, who flagged off the eco-tourism run from Tamator Morh in presence of BDC Chairman, Chenani Parkash Chand.

The eco-tourism run passed through Chenani Patnitop Highway and finally culminated at Tulip Garden Kud.

District Information Officer, Rajinder Kumar Digra; Block Development Officer, Chenani, Om Parkash; District Youth Services & Sports Officer, S. Swarn Singh, PEL, PEM’s, PET’s, including youth club members, Youth, Students of different educational institutions participated in the run.

While addressing the gathering, the ADC said that the main objective of organizing this event was to educate the youth and general public of the district about the livelihood opportunities to the local communities through eco- tourism. He reiterated that providing jobs to local youth through eco tourism and conserving the natural beauty of these areas is one of the top priorities of the Government.
