DLSA Udhampur celebrates World Health Day

UDHAMPUR, APRIL 07: The World Health Day was today celebrated by District Legal Services Authority; Udhampur under the overall supervision of Secretary District Legal Services Authority Udhampur Ms. Rajni Sharma (Sub-Judge), in Collaboration with the Health Department.

The programme started with student rally organized by the Para Medical Students flagged off by Secretary DLSA Udh. Later a plantation Drive was also organized in the premises of District Hospital Udhampur by planting various saplings. The aim of the programme was to raise Awareness about the Health Issues sensitizing the common people regarding Health Issues and mobilizing efforts in support of Health Care to make it a reality for people worldwide.

The Resource Persons of the Programme were, Adv. Akhil Dubey (Panel Lawyer) DLSA Udhampur, Dr. Deepak Koul (Medical Department), Mr. S.K. Gandotra (President, Bhartiya Yog Sansthan, Udhampur), Sh. Hansraj Shastri (Yog Sansthan, Sangathan Mantra, Udhampur), Master Chaju Ram Khajuria, Prantiya Member (Bhartiya Yog Santhan, Sangathan Mantra, Udhampur). Dr. Adarsh Prakash, District Member (Bhartiya Yog Santhan, Sangathan Mantra, Udhampur) Dr. K.C. Dogra (Chief Medical Officer District Hospital Udhampur), Dr. Vijay Raina (Medical Superintendent),and Dr. Yasin Malik D.H.O Udhampur were also present on the occasion. The Resource persons threw light on the tools which everyone can use to improve their health and increase their resiliency regardless of their personal situation; some Important Yoga Asanas/Activities were also displayed by Master Chaju Ram Khajuria expert, Bhartiya Yog Sansthan Udhampur.

The undersigned later thanked K.C Dogra Chief Medical Superintendent, District Hospital, Udhampur Dr. Vijay Raina, Dr. Yasin District Hospital Officer Udhampur, Team Bhartiya Yog Santhan Udhampur and all the participants for the smooth conduct of the programme. Vivek Sharma Jr. Assistant DLSA Udhampur, PLVs Sham Lal and Rajinder Kumar DLSA Udhampur also participated in the programme. Similar programmes on World Health Day were organized by Chairmen TLSCs Ramnagar, Chenani and Majalta and all PlVs DLSA Udhampur at their respective places.
