The Town Area Committee was established 3^rd of April 1963 (earlier) and converted into Municipal Committee Ramnagar in the year 2005 for providing the services to the General public and worked under the control of Directorate of Urban Local Bodies Jammu headed by the Housing & Urban Development department.
