The Udhampur Town Area Committee was established 27^th of July 1934 (earlier) and converted into Municipal Council Udhampur in the year 2005 for providing the services to the general public and worked under the control of Directorate of Urban Local Bodies Jammu headed by the Housing & Urban Development department.

Sanitation , Illumination of Roads and Lanes , Maintenance and constructions of Lanes and Drain and Roads within the Jurisdiction of MC Udhampur.
