UDHAMPUR, APRIL 04: The Mission Cleaning Devika under the aegis of ‘Puneet Sagar Abhiyaan’ launched by the NCC cadets of Government College for Women Udhampur, in association with DEWS ‘Dhruva Eco-friendly Waste Disposal System’ ended here the other day.

Puneeth Sagar Abhiyan is the Prime Minister’s cleanliness drive which will be conducted in the month of April 2022 to clean rivers across the Country.

The cleanliness mission was conducted along extended streams of Devika River to remove stashes of plastic waste and create awareness amongst the local population about the importance of keeping the water bodies clean.

Principal, Prof. Minu Mahajan encouraged the NCC Cadets ‘Samaritans present at the gathering to take active participation in keeping our surroundings, and the ecosystem clean and beautiful.

The drive concluded with the visit at DEWS, to dispose of all the collected garbage, where they also presented a Nukkad Natak to make an impact on the civilians.

The 2nd J&K Girls Bn, Jammu appreciated the ANO and the cadets for their interest and effort towards making the program and Puneet Sagar Abhiyan as a whole, a grand success.

The entire event was coordinated by Lt (Dr) Kamal Deep Kaur, Associate NCC Officer of the College. The event accessories were sponsored by ICICI Bank, Chinar Complex, Udhampur.
