PCB conducts anti-polythene drive in Udhampur town

UDHAMPUR, DECEMBER 07:- A team of Pollution Control Committee Udhampur today conducted an anti- polythene drive in Udhampur Town and on its outskirts.

The drive was held under the supervision of District Officer Pollution Control Committee, Bader Hussain.

During the drive, around 35 kilogram banned polythene material was seized and Rs. 1500 was recovered from the violators.

The District Pollution Officer sensitized the shopkeepers about the harmful effects of polythene and advised them to refrain from using or selling polythene material. He said that the main objective of conducting seizure of polythene is to make Udhampur polythene free.
