SWD organises Assessment camps for Divyangs at Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, MARCH 15: Social Welfare Department Udhampur, in collaboration with Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO), organized a series of assessment camps for Divyangs.

The camps were held at Keya, Kulwanta, Moungri, Dandota, Panchari, Chenani and Town Hall Udhampur.

Around 237 beneficiaries were identified for providing aids and appliances like Tricycle, wheel chairs, Hearing aids, CP chairs, MSIED kits, Crutches.

On concluding day , President MC Udhampur Dr Jogeshwar Gupta, Vice President, Surinder Singh Khalsa, Councillor, Preeti Khajuria, Councillor, Anil Arora were present on the occasion.

While addressing the gathering, DSWO, Kanika Gupta briefed the participants about these camps. She informed that around 07 camps were organized by the Social Welfare Department in the far flung areas of the district. She made people aware about various welfare schemes of the social welfare department and appealed to the general public to come forward to avail these schemes.

She also appreciated the efforts made by TSWO, Udhampur Tilak Raj Attry and representatives of ALIMCO Sonu Kumar and Arun Kumar for successful completion of these camps.
