Udhampur Adm conducts cleanliness drive in Chopra shop area

UDHAMPUR, DECEMBER 11: To sensitise the common masses about the cleanliness, a community mobilization cum sanitation drive was today conducted by District Administration Udhampur in collaboration with India Army.

The drive was launched by Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur Indu Kanwal Chib by performing shramdaan in the area. A large number of people, PRIs, shopkeepers besides officers of Civil Administration and Army participated in the drive.

While highlighting the importance of cleanliness and personal hygiene, the DC appealed to all the participants to keep their surroundings clean and also motivate others in maintaining the cleanliness. She called upon the public to discard the use of polythene, maintain hygiene and keep water resources clean to protect the environment in the district.

The DC sought cooperation of all stakeholders in generating awareness among the masses regarding cleanliness. She elaborated the aims and objectives of the sanitation drive and appealed to the public to take pledge for keeping the district clean and green through active participation. She also thanked all the participants and appealed to them to join hands with the District Administration in future endeavours of cleanliness.
