Udhampur DDC Chairperson conducts extensive tour of panchayat Barolla

UDHAMPUR, DECEMBER 24: District Development Council, Chairperson, Udhampur Lal Chand today conducted an extensive tour of Panchayat Barolla.

During the visit, the DDC Chairperson inaugurated a hand pump in Government Higher Secondary School Barolla, installed under DDC grant.

The DDC Chairperson congratulated the school authorities for fulfillment of their long pending demand of installation of hand pump.

The DDC Chairperson also interacted with the locals and stressed upon them to avail benefits under various flagship welfare schemes and programmes launched by the UT and central governments. After the inauguration, DDC Chairperson also visited Government Girls Middle School and Health & Wellness Centre Barolla where he inspected the functioning of these institutions.

Local people of the area put forth their demands seeking construction of additional classrooms at Middle school as the school has only 03 rooms which are inadequate for accommodating around 80 students. The DDC Chairperson assured the public that all their genuine issues would be redressed at an earliest.

En-route, the DDC Chairperson visited Health and Wellness Center Barolla where he found that the building of the wellness centre was in dilapidated condition. The DDC Chairperson had a telephonic communication with the Block Medical Officer Tikri regarding its improvement and sought a detailed report in the regard.

Among others, Naib Sarpanch, Jib Pankaj Kerni, Panch Barolla, Narinder Singh, Ex-Sarpanch Barolla, Meem Singh, Ex-Panch Barolla, Joginder Singh, Sanjay Kumar, Kewal Kumar, Dinesh Abrol were also present.
