Weekly Block Diwas: DC Udhampur public outreach camp at CFC Ghordi

UDHAMPUR, APRIL 20: Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur Indu Kanwal Chib on Wednesday visited Block Ghordi and listened to public issues and demands at the weekly Block Divas meeting held at the local Community Facilitation Centre.

BDC Chairperson, Aarti Sharma and District/ Block level officers of different departments besides PRIs also participated in the Block Diwas.

The BDC Chairperson, Sarpanches, Panches and general public of adjoining panchayats projected several demands and problems. They demanded Construction of Nallah Mallya PMGSY road, effective steps to overcome drinking water scarcity, J&K Bank ATM Machine at Ghordi, X- Ray technician, Construction of Primary school building and playground, early completion of nallah Ghouran road, adequate staff in Government Schools and health institutions, use of quality material for construction of roads and addressing Mobile network problems in the area etc.

The DC gave a patient hearing and passed on-the spot directions for redressal of public grievances at an earliest. The DC asked the officers to take first hand appraisal of all the grievances of PRIs and redress the same on priority.
